ROCK ON ART!

Greetings!

As the seasons change naturally so goeth the medium an artist uses. This fall My friend, Angie gathered me stone post rock. Each piece has a cut side and a natural side.

Her son, Martin gathered me one piece that was both sides natural. He said, Tell Evie this one is done."

Later while perusing an Art News magazine (Oct.,2007) , I saw Martin's pick of rock on art done by a Master. A painting of Jackson Pollock's is the spitting image of this art on rock. The two are twin flames of the same brush. One done by man, one found by boy.

Art is sort of like that for me. It unfolds out of the invisible with the strength of ten He-men.

It can not be dismissed or avoided. While not always obvious,  Art's presents are like the presence of Goddess, you either see her or not.

This fall season I am starting several new developments in my art career. I am painting the abstracts on stone post as well as paper, I am moving forward with my outdoor art installations that are paintings on rocks in the hills of hinterland and I am breaking in a new pair of hiking boots so I can visit Georgia O'Keeffe's Ghost Ranch land in style.

Whatever your style of art, that is relatively unimportant. Whatever your style, it is about the love. It is always about the love.

Call it a wind fall. I have had a very good year and want to share the goods. From my cache of tiny reproductions I am mailing one to each of you that want one. They are a ten dollar value in a tiny mat and archive cover. Quite adorable in fact.

Send your full name and address for mailing. I only ask you send me one dollar for shipping/handling. You can send the one dollar PayPal to evie.wray@gmail.com

or
send cash to

Artist Retreat for 2008
I have begun organizing an Artist Retreat for 2008, spring time. The place is on my 500 acre remote Kansas art studio land. We will do some outdoor art installation , some campfire living and outdoor nature study. If you are interested in attending this retreat send your name and address for the snail mail mailing list to evie.wray@gmail.com .

The food?
Wild!
We'll eat venison cooked over a campfire and pheasant wrapped in natural bacon . Organic fruits and vegetables shall accompany the famous 'bannock' bread. Plan on the best black Angus beef burger you ever sank your teeth in! Tea time is at four p.m.
The accommodations?
...will vary according to the needs of the artist. You camping is preferred by hosts as we will be camping ourselves. Close to hand bed and breakfasts are available and several indoor artist rooms are, too.
Special Feature?
We will make an Artist Trek to the Geodetic Center. This center of our North American Continents is the one point all our land maps started with. The experience is uplifting and rewarding. Plan on your spirit being touched.
What to bring?
Will report later. Or e-mail for more details.
To whom is this a welcome invitation?

All ages , all styles, all mediums, all Lovers of Art are to be treated well.
